Generally for use in single-needle lockstitch industrial machine, the SPI needle is similar to the 16x231 (DBx1) needle system but has an acute round point for use on woven fabric.
There are 10 needles in each pack.
Applications:
- Very densely woven materials, e.g. microfabrics, silk
- Thin, coated materials
- Thin, smooth materials, e.g. taffeta
- Normal seams in shirt stitching (shirt collars, cuffs)
